Those of us who are involved in any kind of ministry (through work, church, or somewhere abroad), the fruits of our labor don’t always come quickly. In times when it feels like we’re just going through the routine and spinning our wheels, we shouldn’t lose hope. What can seem like a mundane task is simply a hidden piece to the puzzle. When God writes our story, He never wastes a moment. He is just setting up for the big reveal.
It’s similar to making a paper snowflake. Whenever I see someone making one, I think “Man, there’s no way that cut up chunk of paper will turn into anything pretty.” Then, once the preliminary work is done, the artwork is revealed.
For many of us, we may never see the results of our efforts. That’s ok. The encouraging thing is that we know that the Maker is weaving every obedient act into His great masterpiece.
“Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:6
