We had the privilege this week of spending time with some fabulous members of the Crossfire youth group at our home church in Oklahoma: The Bridge AG! The entire youth group worked tirelessly last year to raise funds for our Speed the Light vehicle.
It’s really a humbling thing to know that these guys generously gave their allowances, babysitting money, and birthday money to pay for our car. They even put on a 5K race to raise money...and ran in the pouring rain during December! Needless to say, we have a newfound respect for those who participated in the “Santa Shuffle.”
We know that the gift we’ve received from the Crossfire students will make a difference in how ministry will be able to be done here. This car will be used over the years to be a blessing to students and friends here in Dublin. I know firsthand how refreshing it is to get a lift from a friend when it’s rainy and cold outside. These guys ran in the rain (in Santa suits) so that we don’t have to.
Although only a handful of people from the youth group are pictured in the photo, we want to give a huge shout-out to everyone who participated. Thank you Crossfire Student Ministry! You guys rock!!
P.S. The team of Crossfire students who worked with the kids’ camp this week did amazingly well! Everyone agreed that they got on really well with the Irish team and worked so very hard. Great job
