Katy and I have been called by God to move to Dublin, Ireland and minister to college students. The event God used to start this transition is called Urban Soul.
Urban Soul is an event where youth from Ireland, England, and the U.S. come together and perform random acts of kindness in the communities of Dublin. The video below is a promo they put together for the event.
In 2009, Katy and I joined a group from The Bridge A/G on a mission trip to participate in Urban Soul. The last night of our trip we ate dinner with Derek and Avril Switzer (the National Youth Directors for the Assemblies of God Ireland).
As we discussed college ministry, Derek expressed a great need for someone to come help plant, lead, and develop college ministries in Dublin. Something immediately spoke to my spirit. God was beginning to plant the seed for our future ministry.
That night, I asked Katy what she thought about moving to Ireland. She said, "Oh, I've been thinking about that since we got here." WOW!! It took me a few months to really know for sure but she knew right then that we were called to Ireland. Thank God for wives who can hear from the Lord, then patiently wait for her husband to catch up.
