Thanks to everyone for praying for me (Katy) over these past few years. As most people know, I was diagnosed with MS in 2009 but God has been so gracious to me. I've experienced no attacks since then! I've been walking each day one step at a time and am so thankful for health!
I went to my neurologist for a general follow-up a couple of weeks ago. I had an MRI done late last year and there was nothing to report! No new lesions, etc. He did a neurological exam and was pleasantly surprised. He said that, at this point, I should be experiencing some decrease in my reflexes but there have been no changes. Praise the Lord! In his words, he said that I should be "ecstatic" about how I was doing. I told him that I was so thankful that God had helped me through this process day by day.
That's really what it has been. Every day, God has been faithful to be my Great Physician and carry me to the next day. I am always thankful to be able to see, walk, and run. It is a miracle that I can do all of those things and God gets every bit of the credit for it.
We should always be glad in our senses and in our ability to move. The next time you're out for a run and you are dying and wishing you were inside watching The Middle, be thankful that your legs can move. Be thankful every time you see a beautiful flower and can pick it up. God is a healer, restorer, and creator of all things miraculous.
