As we approach Thanksgiving we want to thank Light for the Lost (LFTL). Darren Pilcher directs the Oklahoma District Assemblies of God LFTL initiative, raising money to "empower the church to provide God's Word every person on the planet". Darren and all the wonderful churches that participate in LFTL gave us dozens of Bibles to share with the university students of Ireland. We've had many great opportunities to share these Bibles, but for this post I'd like to tell you about Ann.
Ann is a Muslim and attends a university in Ireland (I've changed her name to protect her identity). This semester she connected with a student that we have been investing in and received one of these Bibles.
The other day her Christian friend asked if she enjoyed reading her new Bible. She answered that she really had to be careful, because she was afraid to take it home. Ann fears what would happen if she were caught by her family with a Bible. She keeps the Bible at school and reads it when she has time.
Because of your prayers and support, you are making a difference in Ann's life today. We thank you and we especially thank those who partner with LFTL to see the Word of God spread across this world.
Please be in prayer for the work of LFTL and for Ann. Pray that the God's Word would speak to her. Pray for her protection. Pray the the Holy Spirit would draw her to Him and she would experience the grace of Jesus Christ.
