Busy Busy Busy

These past few weeks have been very busy. We’ve seen our new set of volunteers begin their training process, begun our conference planning for September’s annual Unshamed Conference, and starting working on a brand new Irish fundraising strategy called “The Zoe Supper Club” (more Supper Club info to come later).

Please be praying for three specific things in the coming weeks…

• Please pray for strategic conversations happening with potential donors that will change the game for the Zoe team and how we operate. We’re asking for God’s wisdom, favour, and provision.

• Please pray for our incoming volunteers. Once they pass the five months of training, they will become “Advocates”. Advocates is what we call our highly trained volunteer team who works directly with our guests (both online via live chat as well as in person at our Zoe location). It is a heavy role but absolutely crucial to Zoe and to women in crisis.

• Please pray for Katy as she navigates an incredibly busy schedule balancing all a CEO has to carry. God has called and equipped her, but leadership is lonely at the top. Please pray for a continuous flow of joy, hope, peace, and wisdom as she leads Zoe Community.

Katy in Spain

This past January Katy had the opportunity to attend a symposium called the Secular Peoples Initiative. Our friends, Shawn and Deb Galyen, have been missionaries in Spain for many years and have developed deep insight in reaching the people of Europe.

Europe is a post-post-Christian, aka “secular”, society. People born and bred in Europe have a completely different understanding of the world compared to Americans. This can make it very tough for missionaries coming in to understand what effective ministry looks like in Europe. This was Katy’s second time to attend this conference, and she walked away feeling encouraged and equipped.

We’re so grateful for resources like this within Assemblies of God World Missions, particularly within the Europe Region. Not only does it help to practically equip us, but it also allows us to build relationships with co-laborers in Christ working all across our region.

We’re also thankful for our relationship with YOU. We couldn’t do any of this without you. Thank you for your prayers and support. Together we’re making a difference!

It's the Little Things

Winter can be a bit tough. The sun comes up late and sets early. Mostly cloud cover. Loads of rain. It can get very dark (physically and emotionally). We have to be thankful for the little things during these seasons. When people ask me how I like the weather in Ireland (happens a lot), I also reply, “There’s never a bad day for a cup of coffee.”

Another thing I’m thankful for is our back garden. In the very rare moments that the sun comes out during the winter, our kids are able to play outside. We were blessed to be able to install artificial grass in our backyard allowing the kids to play immediately after the rain stops. The picture above is the first sunny day of 2025. The kids had great time climbing, yelling, running, and wrestling. 15 minutes later it was time to come back in. Haha.

We’re thankful for so many little things. We’re also thankful for the big things. This team is one of those big things that keeps us going. Your financial support obviously sustains us. Your prayer equally (probably much more) also sustains us. In those tough moments, your prayers lift us up. We can feel it. Thank you.
